An Introduction To Our Equipment...
Listed below are some of the 'scientific' pieces of equipment that we'll use during an investigation. Some of these things you'll be familiar with... Some you won't. We have posted this page to make you aware, and familiar with some of the equipment you may see us use at your place of residence or place of work.
EMF Detector
EMF - stands for 'Electro-Magnetic Field'. An EMF metre is an instrument that reads the fluctuation in electromagnetic fields. EMF detectors were orginally designed to detect electromagnetic emissions from microwaves ovens and high tension electrical wires. It is now the prime sensory instrument of any ghost hunter. It is believed that the energy of spirits can distort the electromagntic field around them, hence the fact that an EMF metre can alert us of their presence. Paranormal Activity will usually register in the range of 2.0 to 7.0 milligauss. It is scientifically impossible for low-level, self-generating and moving electromagnetic fields to occur naturally, yet we find these fields in areas where there is spirit activity reported. It is commonly accepted that spirits and/or the energy associated with them are the causes of these unexplainable EMF readings.

K-II Metre
The K-II is a small metre with multi-colored lights that we use to detect magnetic fields and frequency. We use this in two ways.
The first, is as it was originally intended, to detect magnetic fields. If we find a high field, that field could be the cause of a false sense of paranormal activity.
The second way is to try and communicate with entities. It would seem, and we still aren't firm believers yet (if ever), that you can instruct an entity to approach the device and the device will respond to an entity which is in close proximity to the device. If this is true, then one could, in theory, have the entity approach the device and make the lights illuminate to indicate an affirmative answer to a question.

Digital Thermometres
Thermometres are used obviously, to detect changes in air temperature. The theory being, for a spirit to manifest, it draws the energy from it surrounding environment, causing the temperature to drop or in some cases heat up. 'Cold Spots' are by far the most frequent experience in claims of paranonormal activity.

Digital Voice Recorders
Digital voice recorders are, without doubt, one of the most important pieces of equipment that a ghost hunter should carry in their toolbox. Audio recorders are used for many different purposes throughout an investigation. Recorders are used for interviews, spontaneous thoughts, your notes and for recording EVP's.
Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) are voices detected in electronic devices that cannot currently be explained with known physical principles. The voices typically constitute short utterances of just a few words, often in direct response to questions or comments about occurrences in the environment. Reports of these voices have involved virtually every known technology that is capable of supporting human voice. RT-EVP
Real Time - Electronic Voice Phenomenon Recorder. Designed specifically for the paranormal field and its investigators. This machine give the investigators and opportunity to hear the EVP's as they occur. Cutting down on valuable time in review. A must for any professional investigator.
Frank's Box / Ghost Box / Spirit Box
The Ghost Box is a basic free scan AM/FM digital radio that has been modified using the schematics of an electrical engineer who has also dabbled in the field of the paranormal. The device will scan through the AM radio frequency. Noises generated when the Ghost Box scans include white noise, inter-mixed with random, actual broadcast 'blips'. This creates a 'chatter' of sorts that is then used by the spirits to manipulate into audible words for communication.
The words are formed by the spirits using the 'chatter', not speaking over it. All of the noise is needed to communicate successfully and in REAL TIME. You will hear the voices as they speak... Not in recording after the event.

Parabolic Ear / Bionic Ear
This parabolic ear can capture and amplify sounds from over 300ft away. It can be connected to a voice recorder and will allow us to capture any audio anomoly, that we would not normally be able to record.
Digital Video Recorder (DVR System)
Once set in place, these IR cameras will record throughout the investigation. Certain areas and 'Hotspots' are covered even when our investigators are in other places. Our night vision cameras will record everything that happens, in the pitch black of night. All data is recorded onto an internal hard drive for review.
Digital Camcorders w/ Nightshot
Our investigators will carry these cameras with them throughout an investigation. Our camcorders have the ability to see in the dark, allowing us to capture anything that happens throughout the evening. These cameras allow us to document any paranormal experiences that occur.
Infrared Extender Light
These infrared lights give our nightvision cameras a great range in the dark. They allow to see further and to see better in darker locations.
Full / Twin Spectrum Camcorder
This Full Spectrum High Definition Digital
Video Camera will capture images reflected within both ends of the
light spectrum - where theories suggest that spirits reside! Enhancing

Digital Still Cameras
This item speaks for itself and is a must in any Paranormal Investigators tool box. Our investigators use digital cameras constantly throughout an investigation... Some amazing pictures and results have been discovered on review.
Infrared Digital Cameras
These digital cameras take photographs deep within the infrared light spectrum. This eliminates the need for flooding a room with visibile light, as with a flash. It is believed that spirits are more visible within the IR spectrum of light.
Motion Detectors
W.S.P.R investigators use a mulitude of Motion Detectors throughout an investigation. Movement is detected by these sensors and investigators will place these devices in areas where activity has been reported. When not investigating in these areas, our team will turn them on, and any movement will trigger the alarm. These devices are best used in conjuction with static night vision cameras.
Motion Sensor Digital Camera
This device is used in the same way as the above motion detector, however it is fitted with a digital camera which will take an image and/or video of whatever tripped the alarm.
Geophone Vibration Sensor
These devices are perfect for documenting those footsteps you are hearing. The blue LED lights will light up in conjuction with any vibrations e.g foosteps, moving furniture etc. We are able to control the sensitivity of this device, which allows for greater control. We can now capture those un-seen footsteps when we can hear something walking in the room with us, but isn't visible with the naked eye!
REM-POD
Designed exclusively for professional Paranormal Investigators with EM Radiating Antenna detects energy disturbances & fluctuations around the antenna displays the field disturbance using multi-coloured light columns and audible tones. This new feature uses a mini telescopic antenna to radiate its own independent magnetic Field around the instrument.
